Dr. Najmaldin Karim the governor of Kirkuk met on Tuesday, 10th November 2015, with Senator John McCain chairman of the Armed Services Committee in the US Congress.
The meeting came during the governor of Kirkuk’s visit to the United States of America.
The governor of Kirkuk during the meeting gave an explanation of the current developments in the security and economic challenges facing Kirkuk, adding that the Kirkuk is stability today, thanks to the sacrifices of the Peshmerga forces and supporting the components of Kirkuk for security services and their keenness on the security of their city.
The governor of Kirkuk praised the international coalition’s support and called for increase their support in security forces in order to achievement more victory over ISIL terrorist.
Senator McCain praised the success of the administration of Kirkuk, praising the Peshmerga forces for their victories, stressing: “We are working to support Iraq and Kirkuk in particular.”
