On August 21, 2022, the Kurdistan Democratic Parties (KDPI) achieved a historical point and reunited under one party. The tireless efforts and selfless approach by both leaders, Mr. Mustafa Hijri and Mr. Khalid Azizi, have paved the way for the reunification and made the Kurdish position a more powerful one as the struggle for Kurdish rights continues.
Since its establishment in 1946, the KDPI has played a significant role in the liberation movement of the Kurdish people in Iranian Kurdistan (Rojelat), inspiring the Kurdish nation to seek their cultural and political rights. The unified KDPI will create new hope for freedom, security, and a better life, in Rojhelat and the region.
On this occasion, the Kurdish Institute in Washington (WKI) congratulates the leadership, members and supporters, and the people of Kurdistan on this outstanding achievement.
