Faik Nerweyi got his B.A. in Kurdish Literature from Baghdad University and his M.Sc. in International Relations, specialising in International Political Economy, from Tampere University, Finland. He worked in Peace and Conflict Research Institute in Tampere, Finland and later as a Cultural Officer for the Finnish Social and Health Ministry in Helsinki. He also served in Foreign Relations in Vienna, Erbil, Ankara, and Amman and was appointed as the Ambassador of Iraq in Moscow and London. He is keenly interested in history, independence, national reconciliation and human value systems behind politics. He lives in Duhok, Kurdistan.
