The Washington Kurdish Institute had the privilege to speak to Dr. Maria Ottaway, the Senior Fellow at the Wilson Center. Dr. Ottaway was a Senior Research Associate and Head of the Middle East Program for 14 years at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Recently, Dr. Ottaway, with her husband Dr. David Ottaway, co-authored a new book called A Tale of Four Worlds: The Arab Region After the Uprisings. Dr. Ottaway’s research and observations of the political events in the Middle East over five decades has enriched her book in explaining the politics of the Arab world and its effect globally.
