The Washington Kurdish Institute (WKI) expresses its condolences on the loss of Ali Qazi, the son of the Kurdish leader and founder of the Kurdistan Republic, Qazi Mohammed.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Qazi’s family and the people of Kurdistan for such a significant loss. Qazi’s contribution to the Kurdish self-determination quest has made an immense impact, including his activism in Germany, where he was exiled for decades.
We value the friendship between WKI’s founder, the late Dr. Najamldin Karim, and the late Qazi.
“Verily we belong to Allah, and verily to Him do we return.”
