The Halabja Genocide was not the first massacre of the Kurds and it has not been the last. Then and now, some international powers assist occupation forces (Arab/Turkish/Persian nationalists & Islamists) with these massacres while others issue weak condemnations or remain silent.
We remember the thousands of innocents murdered by Saddam Hussein and the Arab nationalist Ba’ath Party with chemical weapons on March 16, 1988, offer condolences to their family members, including those still plagued by the long-term effects of this brutal attack.
We will honor the memory of the victims of the Halabja massacre by continuing to give a voice to all victims of crimes against humanity and ceaselessly demanding a just peace for the Kurdish people and freedom for Kurdistan.
