After Turkish-backed Jihadi groups attack the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the west on Manbij Northern Syria, the People’s Protection Units (YPG) spokesperson denied reinforcement to support other SDF faction to face Turkish invasion. “Some media organizations published stories that the People’s Protection Units had sent military reinforcements to Manbij. We in the People’s Protection Units affirm the invalidity of the news, and we have not yet received any formal request from the Manbij Military Council for support,” said Redur Khalil the YPG spokesperson on Thursday.
Turkey’s backed groups shield the U.S. backed SDF which will result in halting the liberation of Raqqa from ISIS terrorists. Meanwhile, the Assad regime forces are stationed south of the city. Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan repeatedly called for the invasion of Manbij city which was liberated last year from ISIS by the SDF in an operation lasted two months.
