SEREKANIYÊ – Internally displaced Syrian citizens who have settled at Mebrûka Camp in Cezîre Canton’s Serêkaniyê district called on the Democratic Autonomous Administration to open schools for kids.
After ISIS gangs captured some regions of Syria, thousands of refugees settled in regions controlled by the autonomous administration. Mebrûka Camp is one of these regions where Syrian kids have no facilities to maintain education.
The majority of the refugees at Mebrûka Camp are from the cities of Raqqa, Deir ez-Zour and other regions near the two cities. Following the capture by ISIS, kids had to stop going to schools.
