NRT: During a press conference in Baghdad, Kurdish MPs said that the Kurdish Representation would have to be dealt with according to its size and that they would not accept any deduction in their representation share in the Iraqi government.
They also emphasized that reforms required an agreement among all parties and could not success with a bilateral decision. Kurdish MPs added that genuine reform would be a comprehensive process in all executive, judicial, and legislative spheres.
They also stressed the unanimity of all Kurdish MPs with regard to any changes in the government. “We refuse any violation of our rights in the name of reforms,” added the MPs.
Tomorrow, Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi is to ask the Iraqi Parliament to allow him to create a new government.
