KOBANE, Rojava (December 21, 2015) – At 10 pm on December 19, hostile elements affiliated to the terrorist group known as Daesh (ISIS), utilizing a range of heavy weapons from the positions they occupy on the west bank of the Euphrates, southern Jarabulus, carried out an assault on the village Qereqozax and its vicinity in southwest Kobane, Rojava, Syria.
Similarly, at 2:30 pm on December 20, terrorist operatives attacked Gire Resh area near the village Qereqozax, causing further damage to civilian properties in the region.
Aleppo – On December 20 in northern Aleppo, a small unit of Ahrar Al-Sham terrorists attempted an attack on the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood, leading to a relatively extended battle in which the People’s Defense Units (YPG) and the Women’s Defense Units (YPJ) were engaged to maneuver an appropriate reaction. During heavy clashes in the area a member of the Ahrar Al-Sham forces was confirmed killed and two others were wounded.
Raqqa – At 10:30 pm on December 20 in southern countryside of the town Siluk, Raqqa rural district, suspected Daesh terrorists tried to complete a fresh attack after their unsuccessful efforts to infiltrate and operate in secured locations on December 19. There, two individual suicide assailants were targeted and eliminated by joint units from the Syrian Democratic Forces (QSD). While a small number of ammunition was seized from the attackers, another terrorist element was forced to withdraw from the place.
