KOBANI, Rojava (November 2, 2015) — Turkish Army’s attacks that are aiming at the People’s Defense Units (YPG)’s security positions near Kobane region borderline since October 24 continue to the time.
On November 1 at around 1 am in western Gire Spi (Tal Abyad) Turkish military – using A4 heavy weapons – led blind fire at Defense Units’ locations for about a constant hour. On the same day the Turkish Army at 6:30 pm targeted the Zeytuna position to the west of Gire Spi with similar weaponry. The latest attack ceaselessly continued until 11 pm while Turkish violations around the mentioned county endured until 2 am last night, November 2nd.
On November 1 in the south of the town Sarrin in Kobani region, combined forces of the People’s/Women’s Defense Units who were accompanied by the Burkan al-Firat Joint Operations Room forces conducted an assault operation. The plan that was meant to target suspected terrorist elements preparing for new offensive in the area enabled the Defense Units to neutralize their attempts as a terrorist fighter was killed while trying to engage Defense Units.
